Australia Day celebrates the arrival of the first fleet into Sydney cove in 1788. This 26th day of January can otherwise be known by the indigenous Australians as Invasion Day, or Survival Day. To most of us it simply means a day off work and an excuse for a bbq. For me it has always hailed in summer - flips flops, bikinis, boardies and sunscreen. Today was no exception, topped only by the current epic tennis game between Nadal (heart goes here) and Federer at Australian open semi's. I snapped up some fireworks pics mid game.
Happy Australia Day
Go Nadal!!!
