Im a bit of a cinema junkie, and as such have seen all the major titles that are currently playing, so in my spare time I have picked up some really great books. My current read is 'A New Earth' by the author of 'The Power of Now', Eckhart Tolle. Im about half way through, and totally captured by the content. I would say it falls in the philosophy and self help category, although I'm not necessarily learning anything new, just being reminded of truths - a guide to linking the puzzle pieces of my mind.
The preface of the book reads:
"When faced with a radical crisis, when the old ways of being in the world, of interacting with each other and with the realm of nature doesn't work anymore, when survival is threatened by seemingly insurmountable problems, an individual human - or a species - will either die or become extinct or rise above the limitations of their condition through an evolutionary leap. This is the state of humanity now, and this is it challenge. This book's main purpose is not to add new informations of beliefs to your mind or to try to convince you of anything, but to bring about a shift in consciousness, that is to say to awaken. This book is about you..."
Without a doubt it is the single most significant books I have ever picked up. Recommend for all
